Horry County’s market has traded its running shoes for flip-flops. It is moving more slowly, buyers have more choices, and sellers must work harder to stand out.

• Median sold price: $333,500 
• Homes for sale: 7,300 
• Housing supply: 7.68 months 
• Typical selling time: 55 days 
• Sold-to-list price: 97.1% 

Prices remain fairly steady, but inventory is up and buyers have gained negotiating room. The countywide numbers also mix very different markets—single-family homes and condos are not following the same path.  

In plain terms:
➡️ Buyers can shop around
➡️ Sellers cannot “just test the market”
➡️ Good homes still sell—overpriced ones collect beach sand

Selling? Price correctly from the start. With thousands of competing listings, the first impression matters.

Buying? You may have more time, more choices, and better chances to negotiate price, repairs, or closing costs.

Watching values? This is not one giant market. Conway, Carolina Forest, oceanfront condos, rural homes, and North Myrtle Beach can each tell a different story.

• August 8: Myrtle Duck Festival at Grand Park in Market Common, featuring duck races, food trucks, music, and family activities.  
• Thursday evenings through September 24: Free Music on Main concerts in North Myrtle Beach, 6:30–8:30 p.m.  
• August 31–September 4: Myrtle Beach World Amateur Golf Championship, bringing 3,000 golfers to courses across the area.  
• September 19: Aynor Harvest Hoe-Down, with a parade, food, crafts, children’s activities, and live music.  
• September 26: NMB Live! fills Main Street with three stages, more than 150 vendors, food, shopping, and a kids’ zone.
